The name of the Rosetta Stone software comes from the 2200 year old granodiorite stele which was discovered at the end of the 18th century and contains text and symbols from three different languages.
The current edition of Rosetta Stone teaches 34 languages, from Arabic, Chinese, Indonesian, Korean and Japanese, to Greek, German, Spanish and Russian. The Rosetta Stone program was created by Rosetta Stone Inc, with its first release back in 1992.
